September is always a busy and exciting month in New York. Everyone is back from their summer jaunts, and looking for something new. We welcomed Tom Ford, a New Yorker we miss, back to fashion week. His fabulous and hi wattage show was the perfect start to Fashion Week. From the hot clothes to the Studio 54 inspired after party, Tom brought glamour and humor (they can coexist) to the Armory.
September also saw the opening of several cool new French imports. Apt Sezane, a Parisian lifestyle destination opened to long lines. Offering a cool collection of affordable clothing, bags and shoes, books, home and beauty products was an instant success. The racks were nearly emptied in the first few days. New shipments are on the way. What's not to like?
Maman and Cafe Maman have the first collection of Frederic Fekkai's new beauty venture, Cote Bastide.
Provence comes to New York. All natural beauty products with the French touch. Maman itself mixes it up, a small cafe and a bar serving the most delicious sweets, fresh flowers, and other goodies. What a treat.
Close by you will find Maison Kitsune. Ultra hip clothes for men and women in a clean new setting.
